In May 2020, MTN mPulse organized a Poem for Mum competition where primary & secondary school students were invited to write poems on A Mother’s Love and win over N100,000 worth of prizes for themselves and their mothers. Elsie John, a primary 5 student of Merryland School Oyigbo, Rivers State, emerged the overall winner, with 14 students coming in as runners up and winning fantastic prizes. Also, on May 27 2020, MTN mPulse organized a Children’s Day Happy Hour Challenge where children answered questions that displayed every hour on the mPulse website, with the first 5 correct entries winning an mPulse goody bag. 50 student winners emerged from this engagement.
